Dali Opticon 8 Mk2 is the largest floorstanding speaker and the flagship model in the Opticon range standing at 1.14m. They provide incredible results with the use of Dali's cutting edge technology.
Fitted with 2 x 8 inch woofers, a 6½" woofer, Dali's trademark hybrid tweeter design with a solid and robust enclosure the Opticon 8 mk2 will succeed in filling large rooms with high-quality, immersive audio with clarity and precision. These are perfect for your home cinema system!
Unlike the Opticon 6 mk2, the Opticon 8 boasts 2 x 8" low-loss wood fibre woofers combined with a 6 ½" low-loss wood fibre woofer. This is designed on Dali's sound principles of low-loss, low distortion and low colouration. This is further re-enforced with keeping Dali's distinct woofer design, which is a mix of paper and wood fibre, which gives it the distinctive DALI trademark colour.
To control the higher frequencies the Opticon 8 mk2 uses Dali's proven hybrid tweeter system. This is a combination of a lightweight 29mm soft dome tweeter, derived from Callisto C series, married with a custom ribbon tweeter. Whilst the soft dome tweeter rolls off at around 2 – 2.5khz, the ribbon continues to operate and produce frequencies from 10khz to up to 30khz. This technology disperses high-end frequencies more effectively and successfully.
The Opticon 8 Mk2 is completely manufactured at the Dali factory in Denmark, everything from the wood making, applying the vinyl to the wiring, so you can be ensured that the quality is Dali through and through.
Assembled in pairs, like most of the Opticon range, the manufacturing process ensures the speakers are as closely matched as much as possible, which means you get evenly balanced sound and the best visual pairing.
