The two channel speaker features a 6 ½“ bass driver and a soft dome tweeter. In fact, the technological breakthroughs designed for the larger EPICON 6 and EPICON 8 models have been channelled into EPICON 2 to create a speaker that performs way beyond its size expectations.
Sitting gracefully upon its custom-made stand EPICON 2 produces an astonishingly large and accurate three-dimensional sound that will impress even the most rigorous demands of true audiophiles.
The essence of the DALI KUBIK FREE is connectivity. This elegantly designed active speaker enables you to enjoy music from a wide variety of sources and can be connected via Bluetooth, USB, Optical or Analog inputs.
The main housing is based on one piece of extruded aluminium. This serves to strengthen the entire product giving it a solid feel and ensures that all components can be fitted tightly onto the structure eliminating vibrations. The back plate also acts as heat transfer for the amplifier and power supply. The top of the KUBIK is crafted from the same aluminium and reveals the solid build of the KUBIK FREE.
Low-loss technology
The cone used in the RUBICON series draws upon the heritage from the EPICON technologies, and has a light, rigid and randomly uneven structure. This lower the complexity of the central part of the motor, ensures even piston like movements, reduces the possibility of surface resonance greatly and creates an extremely low distortion within the RUBICON series. The soft low-loss rubber surround is designed and bespoke specifically for the RUBICON series, and all of the components are situated in an aluminum chassis designed for maximum airflow around the cone and magnet system.
