Synthesis Roma 79DC Phono Preamplifier
The Roma 79DC is a complete phono pre-amplifier solution for moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) turntable cartridge systems. It is designed to complement the Synthesis ROMA series but, is well specified enough to be at home in any premium listening environment. With its tube output stage, it has a sweetness and musicality that perfectly complements the sound vinyl lovers are looking to achieve from their precious records.
Internally the Roma 79DC is made throughout with quality in mind. The two ECC83 and single ECC82 valves are run by a multi-stage fully regulated power supply. Similarly, there is an oversized shielded power transformer and an array of high-grade metalized polypropylene capacitors controlling the audio signal circuits. The MC input stage uses a low-noise JFET with a separate regulated power supply with extensive filtering for reducing the interference and noise. Using an ECC82 tube on the output stage gives this unit a very low output impedance without losing signal.
The Roma 79DC has easily selectable capacitance (MM) and impedance (MC) settings for cartridges by rotating the front-mounted knob selector, which also provides visual feedback on the recessed LCD display. Its connectivity is also effortlessly simple with RCA stereo inputs and outputs.
Just as with the other models within the Roma series, the 79 DC has been configured to achieve detailed, delicate, and dynamic sound.
